Unscrew your shower head to remove it from the pipe. Since this is the first time cleaning your shower head, soak it in vinegar or the cleaning solution of your choice, or choose a new shower head to install. You won't need to repeat this step again.

Install your new or completely sanitized shower head, ensuring a tight fit. A brass or mostly brass shower head is preferable. Plastic shower heads tend to grow bio-film and bacteria more easily.

Seal off the end of the pipe with a few rounds of plumber's tape to ensure a snug fit with the Shower Cleanse device when you install it.

Each time you clean your shower, unscrew the cap from the injection port and use a squeeze bottle to fill your shower head with white vinegar or the cleaning solution of your choice. Replace the cap on the injection port.

Install the Shower Cleanse device by simply screwing it on. You'll want to ensure a snug and watertight fit with the pipe, and end with the injection port facing up.

Clean your shower as you normally would. When you are finished, turn on the shower and flush out the remaining cleaning solution. Your shower head is now sanitized and clean, from the inside out.
